Drawing inspiration from my Korean heritage, I take immense pleasure in exploring the traditional art of Korean Buncheong slip work, incorporating free hand-carved letters, & utilizing glazes blended with my very own recipe. Each piece undergoes a meticulous five-step process (besides of glazing & firing process that takes almost one week), starting with hand-throwing on the wheel, followed by precise bottom trimming, intricate slip-work, personalized engraving of names & dates inside the rim, & finally, the meticulous carving of delicate two humming Birds inside the bowl.
