Vintage Bendable Poseable Dog Toy Figure 1978 made by Nippon Animation 5 1/2" x 3" ~ Spread eagle Nippon Animation specializes in Anime. I wonder if this is a promotional item based on their 1975 series Dog of Flanders which was a big hit. They weren't in the habit of making toys so it had to be a promo for something they did & the dog off the movie they made later looks exactly like this one. The kids & I were having so much fun making different poses for this collectible we photographed. You do have to balance it if you are going to stand it upright.
