Authentic old hub caps are getting really hard to find, partly because car collectors & restorers look for them, & partly because they are popular as wall hangers or repurposed as bird baths, dog dishes, or in other creative ways. I've seen these made into clocks & that looks really cool. This Chevrolet hub cap is probably from the 1950s but it could be from the late 1940s. Probably intended for a pickup truck. It has much of the original mirrored silver finish, & it has dents, scratches, abrasions, rust, & dings & dents. The red enamel swooshes have just a little of the original red paint. It measures 9 3/4" in diameter, the domed arch is about 2 1/2" deep, & it weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. in fair condition. FREE shipping within the United States.
