These hand hammered & textured moon earrings are one of my all time favorites. Choose between solid sterling silver moons, solid copper moons, or raw brass moons. I can make these earrings with either a regular ear hook or 16g hand hammered hoop ring that works well for stretched ears. A patina has been added to bring depth to the texture & to add to the antique look. These are currently made to order, so you will have an original pair similar to these but not the exact same pair. These earrings have such a great movement to them. The solid brass drop dangles, the solid brass hand textured outer ring, & hand hammered moon all love to dance together. I find the weight to be just right- not too heavy for regular pieced ears, not too light for stretched ears. Each regular hook earring weighs @ 8.2g (.29oz) earring weighs approximately. Each stretched ear hoop earring weighs @ 9.5g (.33 oz). Earring Length for the regular hook style (including the hook) is 2 3/8" Earring Length for the hoop hook style for stretched ears (including the hook) is 3" ✦ C A R E - I N S T R U C T I O N S ✦ Each creation is lovingly hand crafted with meticulous attention to detail, aesthetic, & durability. Please remember to remove your jewelry before bathing/showering, swimming, doing rigorous physical activities, or working with harsh soaps, lotions or any chemicals. Patinas change over time by the wearer so your piece will eventually shine & darken in a pattern specific to you. I do not seal my jewelry with any lacquer or waxes. If you'd like to get the shine back on your metal pieces without using any chemicals, you can gently rub them with a little piece of Extra Fine Steel Wool Grade #0000. Keep in mind, rubbing the black patina areas with the extra fine steel wool will remove the patina & make those parts shiny metal. Do not use steel wool on any stones as it can permanently scratch them. Sterling silver, brass & copper are metals that will tarnish & react to their environment. Proper storage can help prevent this. Keeping your jewelry in an airtight container is best, as the air & humidity can speed up tarnish. Wearing your pieces as much as possible will help keep them tarnish free as your skins natural oils help protect the metals from tarnishing. Extra Fine Steel Wool Grade #0000 also helps to remove tarnish.
