I found a small box of these tiles & I am offering them in groups of 4 tiles. I have just 6 sets of 4 tiles remaining. I think these are from the early 20th century, as they show a distinct Arts & Crafts style & coloring. These were almost certainly made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, which was founded in 1875 & by the 1930s was one of America's largest tile companies, & it was known for high quality, custom tiles for ceilings, bathrooms, & kitchens. These were probably made in the 1890 - 1910 period. These tiles measure 3" by 3" & they are about 7/16" thick. Some still have a tiny bit of old mounting mortar residue. They are in fair condition, with several chips on the undersides, & some small fleabites along the perimeter. The set of 4 weigh over 1 pound.
