Here is the fabulous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris as viewed in 1890. Pretty nice place, eh? Paris was a very different world 132 years ago. There were no automobiles, electricity was still in its infancy & photography was a relatively new & very exciting invention. (Check out the gaslights, horse-drawn carriages, & cobblestone streets.) For the very wealthy, there were lavish picture books for people to gaze upon; exotic & wonderful far-off places around the globe; like the volume that this delightful plate came from. The Notre Dame Cathedral is printed on heavyweight paper & it measures 8.5" x 11" overall. The printed image itself is 6" x 8" & has just a bit of a sheen. It is smooth & clean, without wrinkles or pings or marks, this stunner simply yells "FRAME ME!"
