Vogue pattern #2288 is a 90s reprint of an original 1950 design for a coordinating capelet & dress. Perfect for mother of the bride, after 5 events or any time you need a polished & put-together look, this great vintage pattern, plus your choice of fabrics could be as fancy or as tailored as you'd like! The self-lined capelet is topstitched to mimic the wide crosswise tuck on the dress bodice. It buttons in front & has a jewel neckline. The dress falls to upper calf in length & has a lowered, square neckline. The straight skirt is pleated to the bodice in front, with darts in back, & features welt pockets. It has a side zip & self fabric belt. The dress has slightly extended shoulders for a cap sleeve look. This detailed, vintage style dress would be beautiful on its own without the capelet! This pattern is rated average in difficulty & includes size 8 only, for adult women. It is in uncut, factory fold condition. There is some wrinkling & edge wear to the pattern envelope but overall the pattern is in very good condition for its age. Published in 1999, the original suggested list price was $25.
