Description
Fine gemstone pendant set with a Cambodian zircon weighing 11ctw in 18k. The fiery stone is a rich blue with faint green undertone, a desirable off kilter color immediately obvious to some eyes. Set in a modern Deco mount with mostly baguette diamonds, the pendant has soft corners attuned to its stone. The whole pendant sparkles brilliantly, the white halo in sharp contrast with its saturated stone. Zircons have a lustre not unlike diamonds, the best of them display sharp clarity & superb fire. It is a little known fact: the oldest natural gem deposit is zircon; many zircons are older than diamonds. This flawless zircon has an appreciable depth, from which its fire pulses to rival the diamonds in surround. The pendant measures 30mm by 20mm, including the bail.
