FABRIC & MATERIALS We use branded bronze only for all our bronze rings & pendants. Bronze jewelry extremely durable & strong, & it contents copper so that's why it tarnishes & develops a green patina. This occurs when the copper reacts to moisture & air, oxidizing in the process. Sometimes, the patina is preserved & maintained as it can add a beautiful & vintage look to the bronze jewelry. Many people prefer clean & sparkling bronze jewelry & clean the patina away. CARING GUIDANCE Unlike rust, tarnish is a 'self-limiting' patina, affecting only the top few layers & ultimately protecting the metal. While this is good news overall, it is not particularly pretty. If your bronze jewelry is already tarnished, & you want it looks as brand new, try clean it to avoid future tarnishing. Use a polishing cloth for silver or other polishing. If the tarnish is beyond repair using a cloth, try a silver wash. If this doesn't work, you can visit a jeweler who has special equipment to rid bronze jewelry of tarnish.
