Here is a beautiful vintage original oil painting of a Texas Hill Country bluebonnet landscape. I am very familiar with the Texas Hill Country as that is where I spent my summers, & my parents & grandparents were raised there. This art is on stretched canvas & depicts the soft rolling hills in the background, the bluebonnet flowers, & cacti in the front & center, & fencing & trees. The art is signed Trenton. On the back is a paper info note that shows this was painted by San Antonio, Texas artist Louise Kelley Trenton (1921-2019). She appeared to paint Plein Air in the countryside & around the San Antonio area. The art is framed in a wood frame that is painted gold & has a linen inner liner. The linen has spots from age & can be replaced by your framer if it bothers you. The painting itself is in very good condition while the frame is good with minor chips on the edges & the staining of the linen liner. These particular Texas artists' works are collected by Texans & Western/Southwestern art lovers. The entire item measures 14 1/4 x 16 1/4 in. Painting only is 8 x 10 in. I would date this art to the late 1970s to early 1980s time period.
