The Chocolate Habanero pepper (aka Brown Congo or Black Habanero) is a cultivar of the habanero chili, which has been selectively bred to produce spicier, heavier, & larger fruit, ultimately more potent than other habanero varieties. The Chocolate Habanero can double the heat of an orange habanero. They taste somewhat smokier than normal habaneros. This is great to make BBQ sauces, salsas, & marinades (hello, Jamaican Jerk sauce Capsicum chinense. Scoville heat units 425,000-577,000+. 100+ day to harvest. Looking for something hotter?
