A phenomenon from the heavens, an exciting & rare round cut slice of meteorite from the Campo del Cielo craters is set in a one-of-a-kind collectible ring. Rich & vibrant round cut natural Russian chrome diopside gemstones halo the meteorite, their forest green a stunning contrast of color to the brilliant silver tones of the center stone. Two large pear cut diopsides blaze on both shoulders of the ring. The unique natural Widmanstätten markings of the meteorite are beautifully on display. These unusual etchings are named for the man who discovered the long nickle-iron crystal structures within the stone. in 1808, Count Widmanstätten described color & lustre differentiations upon heating the stone. Each meteorite has its own distinctive pattern, which when featured in fine jewelry, makes for a remarkably memorable piece. Romantic rococo-style flourishes of sterling silver complete the design of the ring. Please note, it's recommended to be mindful of meteorite jewelry due to its high iron content, & make sure not to expose it to water. Wear gently, as the meteorite does not have a protective coating.
