ELVIS hasn't left the building one of the wonderful ways that the marketing of Elvis Presley long after his passing that still gives us a connection to his life & this example is the Elvis Presley Vintage Collectors Chu-Bops Gum Records which put out a series of 8 records by Elvis spanning his career Chu-Bops were packs of record-shaped pink bubblegum that came housed in a small 3″ X 3″ replica album cover. The Amurol Products Company of Naperville, Illinois, released nine series of Chu-Bops between 1980 & 1983. Once opened, each "Bop album" shows a pictures of the artist. Later in the product's run (which totalled 85), the company went with mostly one big name, highlighting Elvis Presley (Series 6) this Chu-Bop release is of Elvis Presley GI Blues which is the third soundtrack album & seventh album by American singer & musician Elvis Presley, released by RCA Victor in mono & stereo, LPM/LSP 2256, in October 1960. It is the soundtrack to the 1960 film of the same name in which he starred GI Blues is a 1960 American musical comedy film directed by Norman Taurog & starring Elvis Presley & Juliet Prowse. The movie was filmed at Paramount Pictures studio, with some pre-production scenery shot on location in Germany before Presley's release from the army. G.I.
