Gorgeous & unique footed pedestal brides basket. This has a moving handle & the basket has wonderful foliage & florals patterned inside as well as along the raised rim. The base of the bowl has the same pattern & each foot has a high relief single flower centered at the top. The reverse side of the feet are marked "Meriden Company, Quadruple plate, & 1863". Age appropriate wear is present such as patina, some indentations on the underside of the basket as seen in picture 5 & surface scuffs/scratches. The handle does not stay up without being propped up but it is securely attached as is the base. C.1900!
