Kugel ornaments originated in Germany & date from 1830 - 1914. Heavy glass hand-blown balls, & shapes like the grape cluster, with brass caps. One of the most prized of all Christmas collectibles. Other countries starting producing kugel style ornaments: Japan, France, India. These ornaments look like ones I have seen from Japan. These are lovely old kugel style ornaments: one in green, one in cobalt blue, with the original little cap & hanger loop. Shaped like a little berry cluster.
