But I actually stumbled upon it by accident. I was making my way down 17 Mile Drive for the first time, stopping when I saw anything that grabbed my attention, & saw this tree when I had actually stopped for a different reason. It wasn't until I returned home that I learned about what I had captured. 17 Mile Drive on the Pacific Coast in California is pretty incredible. It's a quite famous scenic road that winds its way through Pebble Beach & Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula in California. Most of it hugs the Pacific coastline, taking one past famous golf courses, mansions, & scenic attractions including the Lone Cypress, Bird Rock & the 5,300-acre Del Monte Forest of Monterey Cypress trees.
