NOTE: THIS ITEM IS LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, FROM EAST SACRAMENTO, 95819 Etsy has forced us to chose a "shipping option" for this piece, but it will be prohibitively expensive & difficult to crate & ship. in 2021, we had a piece of furniture crated & shipped via freight truck, & it cost $1000 & took four months to deliver. For sale is a fabulous, carved cinnabar dragon table from China. We've owned this for maybe 40 years & bought it in San Francisco at Butterfields back in the day. The age is definitely "old China", that is, pre-1949. It could have been carved in the Qing Dynasty or Republican Period. The carving is really wonderful, & features numerous writhing dragons amid scrolling foliate designs, bats, & shou symbols on the corners of the table. The dimensions are about 32" wide by 16" deep by 18.5" tall. It is red & black lacquer over heavy wood (we are unsure of the type). The top may or may not be a replacement, as well as the false cardboard "drawer". in fact, it appears that someone may have crafted a hidden drawer under the top of the table. Review all the photos carefully for details. The condition is overall very good for the age. Clars put an auction estimate of $600-$900 on this piece, & we are listing here for less than the low estimate. Please email any questions.
