Very good condition antique small red roof dollhouse for all bisque dolls dating to the late 19th Century with a wood base & paper lithographed exterior. It is quite an unusual form with it's portico type roof decoration. It is a diminutive size at 9 5/8" tall by 7 3/4" wide & 4 1/2" deep. There are two Victorian framed photographs set on the top room wall & three pieces of antique fret wood furniture of the appropriate size on the top floor. There is a small collection of soft metal pieces on the ground floor. The front door does indeed open. These all came in the house & so are included in the purchase. There is some lifting to the paper litho on the top front & it's possible a small triangle wedge of the paper was glued back on. It's hard to tell if it was re glued or just didn't actually lift. There is a very small chip to the back right hand corner of the red roof & the back, while still attached, is missing a couple of nails. All in all it bis a nice still bright color with overall minimum damage for the type of house this is. As it is unmarked I am undecided as to if it's Bliss or Gottschalk but it is ccertainly the quality of either of those manufacturers.
