Description
The Paperbark Maple (acer griseum) is one of the rarest & most unique of the maple trees. All of the paperbark maples in the country date back to two trees introduced in 1927. It has a cinnamon-colored peeling bark that makes for a real eye-catcher in the garden. The olive-green foliage turns to a brilliant orange-red in the fall season. All of the seeds These trees are easy to grow & do best in full sun to partial shade. They also make for great bonsai specimens. Paperbark maples are impossible to propagate, so starting from seeds is the only way to go. That said, the germination rate for these seeds is very low & typically only 10-20%. While the effort is certainly worth it, order at your own risk. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination.
