Vintage 7" Diameter "Gardsman" Key Wind Alarm Bell - Made by Consumers Engineering, Co., Canada - in Working Condition A very cool bit of Mid Century safety. This alarm is key wound - the key is attached & located on the back of the alarm. When the alarm needs rewound, a metal flag appears to indicate it needs rewound. To activate the alarm, your pull up on the center pin in the front of the alarm. To stop it, you depress the pin/button. The alarm is meant to hang on the wall, & a hanger is attached. The metal of the bell has a few scratches from age. The alarm button & it's holder have obvious patina from age. The indicator flag has some surface rust & paint loss from age. The back of the alarm also shows patina from age. All parts are functioning, & the areas of patina help to age the piece. The alarm bell measures 7" in diameter & is about 2.5" deep. It is made of a cast metal bell. It was manufactured in Canada by Consumers Engineering Co.
