Description

This aeronautical map was printed by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey of the Department of Commerce & was issued March 19, 1954. This is not a reproduction, not a re-print, & not a digital print - this is an authentic original map from the era. This is a U.S. Air Force Edition Sectional Aeronautical Chart, & it was published in the midst of the Cold War & early space race with Russia. The map is centered on Salt Lake City, & shows a portion of Utah, from the Bonneville Salts Flats in the West to the Colorado border & as far as Meeker, Colorado to the East. The top left corner of the map shows a sliver of Idaho, & the upper right quarter shows part of Wyoming. The map is interesting as it shows the vectors & approaches to the major air spaces of the region, & shows the Radio Facilities, aerodromes (airports), air navigation light locations, plus Caution Areas, Danger or Restricted Areas, & Prohibited Areas. The back of the map is printed with a lot of legends & symbol explanations. This map measures about 23 1/2" by 44" & has been folded as you see in the photos. It is printed in color. The map is in good condition, with no holes, no tears, no stains. Very cool map. FREE shipping within the United States. I'll gladly combine shipping with other items whenever possible.
