This is a beautiful & uncommon Bakelite Staunton chess set. Hand turned on a lathe with uniquely hand carved glass eyed knights (a few eyes have been replaced) Most likely German made around the 1920's. Sold by Pattberg Novelty Co. NY. I am unsure if it might have been made by them but I believe it is most likely that Pattberg imported these sets & retailed them. Great antique/vtg condition overall. No missing felts, comes with the original storage box.
