This tea tray was handmade & hand-painted by Meng Lin, the potter who creates a series of cranes & flower-themed teaware in Jingdezhen, China (feel free to check out all of her creations here). Fits a gaiwan or a teapot. in China, peonies are known as the "king of flowers" (花中之王). Peonies' large petals are interconnected to happiness & prosperity, hence why artists love to draw them in traditional Chinese ink paintings.
