This product is 100% Merino Wool, used in needlepoint. Each skein contains 28 yds. of wool. This fiber is suggested to use on 18 ct. needlepoint canvas-however I have had customers who have used this on larger count canvas (16, 14, 13, ct.) & double stranded etc. with great success. This is distributed by Planet Earth fiber, & the entire line of their products can be located at www.planetearthfiber.com. We will be listing these products by color & dye lot. The Hand Paint skeins, are shown with the number of the color starting with a "V". These are "retired" colors & therefore cannot be reordered. If you have questions feel free to contact us. These are older dye lots/changes in dye lot colors, or more likely with the Planet Earth Wool, a change in both quantity of wool from 28 yards to the current 30 yds/skein, as well as the combination of fiber; originally sold @ 90% Merino & 10% Nylon to the current 100% Merino.
