Vintage Print of 'The Rat Race' by artist Jan Vaughan Griffiths. A fun print of a grouping of well dressed Rats milling around on the train station platform, presumably waiting for the next train, all heading to work. They all are dressed in business suits, with ties, bowler hats & briefcases, poised possibly for the days financial happenings. The colors of this piece are mostly shades of blues, but some grays, blacks, whites & even some browns are present, with a small splash of pale pinky red highlights. This print is professional matted & framed, the matte is a dark navy blue with the frame being a simple 1/2" inch wooden frame with gold pinstripe. There is also a small plaque style cutout in the matte, just below the artwork stating the name of the artist & the title of the art. The art is possibly from the mid 1970s & is in wonderful vintage condition. The glass framed piece measures approximately 20"x 13" inches with the actual image being 16"x 8" inches. It has ring loops on the back with cording used to hang on the wall. This artwork is unique & fun, it would look great in a home office, or regular business office, the reception area at a lawyer or accountant office, an entry hall or study at home, it could also be hung in the bedroom of a slightly serious type kid.
