The "Miller" handmade barnwood desk is STUNNING! The beauty of the wood top is impossible to capture in a photo or describe in words. It is truly a remarkable piece of furniture built to last forever. It has 3" x 3" welded steel legs connected by 1/4" steel stretchers. Plenty of desktop space & extra storage with dual drawer banks at both ends featuring dovetailed drawers with soft-close undermount slides, inset into a welded metal frame. Desk has a total of two shallow drawers for common office items, & two file drawer deep enough for hanging files. The wood for the desktops was salvaged from a barn in northern Illinois. Much care was taken to preserve the aged characteristic of the material; it's filled with many saw marks from the early American sawmills, & also loaded with nail holes, splits, & other unique beauty marks. The most severe holes or indentations were filled to preserve the wood's history. The desktop then received three coats of a commercial-grade finish. All metal components have been chemically blackened with an antiqued finish for long-term durability. The final product turned out amazing. Size of the desk in listing photograph is made of two sections bolted together, Section A= 84"W x 30"D x 30"H, Section B= 60"W x 24"D x 30"H. Other sizes are available, please inquire with your size needs & you'll receive an immediate response. It is milled entirely from 2" thick authentic reclaimed barnwood, not construction lumber from big box stores. Standard LTL shipping & curbside delivery included. Some minor assembly may be required. Additional charges may be incurred if the shipping destination is categorized as remote or heavily populated area such as NYC, LA, etc. An additional fee of $125 is required for lift-gate truck service, which is required for all destinations that do not have a loading dock. Fee not included in the listed price & will be collected when order is complete, or we can arrange for pickup at Buyer's local trucking terminal.
