This is a sweet book plate print from the early 1940's depicting a clutch of baby bluejays sitting on a wire. Printed on thick paper this adorable print would look wonderful framed in a childs room or nursery. Originally from "Birds at home" circa 1942 M.A Donohue & CO Chicago New York. All of the art in the book was done by Jacob Bates Abbott. He was a very popular childs illustrator in the early 1940's. Measurements: 12" by 9 1/2" A note on bookplates: A bookplate is actually a page from a book. It has been chosen because of it's beauty & it's possibilities for framing or creative projects. This bookplate may have an old & dusty smell because of it's age. It may also have small imperfections as tears & spots - this is normal because of it's age. The colors may differ a little from what you see on your screen & what the actual page looks like. Older paper tends to yellow a bit over time but looks more lovely for it!
