STAMP INFORMATION: Name: Art Deco Style Chrysler Building Year: 1998 Face Value: 32 cents History: On May 28, 1998, the USPS issued this stamp as part of a sheet celebrating important cultural things that happened during the decade of the 1920s. This stamp celebrates New York City's Chrysler Building which is often described as the epitome of the art deco style. Designed by William Van Alen & commissioned by Walter P. Chrysler, the building was constructed between 1926 & 1930. These stamps are perfectly suitable for use as postage for mailing with USPS, as long as you use the adequate amount of postage to achieve standard postage rates.
