Description

This is a 1976 edition of the Parker Brothers game Careers. The box & game are in played vintage condition. There is some wear to the box which has been repaired on some of the corners. I replaced some of the pawns that were missing. These can be seen in the photos. This edition has a great trippy 70s vibe with its graphics. Careers was developed by noted sociologist Dr. James Cook Brown. Brown designed Careers to be an answer to what he perceived as the 1950s focus on greed & monetary-based self-worth. Careers encourages players to think beyond just making money, & instead consider that being successful in life has many paths & aspects. Fame. Fortune. Happiness. Those were the three goals that the player had to achieve, with a total of 60 points to be divided between them, as each player chose their own combination as their ultimate career achievement. The first player to reach their three-part goal won the game. True to Parker Brothers, things get a bit more complex with other game elements, including special game board spaces & unique situations presented by Experience & Opportunity cards, that altered gameplay. This is a great vintage game, perfect for Retro Game Night. I refund shipping overages. Vintage 1976 Edition Of Careers Board Game - Parker Brothers Complete Seventies Vibe
