Stellar pair of 1960s/1970s Prestige Equi-Stretch breeches in super well-worn, distressed vintage condition. Several things to note. As pictured, the zipper at the side of the waist is missing the zipper pull, but it still slides up & down easily, & there's a button closure just inside the waist at the zipper. There's obviously signs of wear & tear, the leather patch at the inside of the left leg has split, there's reinforced patches added to the seat of the breeches, & several faint discolorations. Looks like these were probably hand-me-downs, as the center seam in the back has been taken in. The original seam has not been cut, so those added stitches could be taken out to add about 1.5 inches to the waistline. I'm a sucker for vintage pieces that show the life they've lived, & these are definitely that. Seriously heavy duty, thick nylon/rayon knit with a bit of sturdy stretch. Chunky 8 inch metal zipper closure at the left side, high waisted with 6 thick belt loops & front slit pockets. Tapered legs, leather patches at the inside of each knee, & 5.5 inch metal zippers at the back of each leg. Measurements laying flat are approximately: Waist: 13 inches, 26 inches around the high waist. As mentioned above, waist could be let out to around 27/28 inches. Rise: 12.5 inches, measured from the crotch to the top of the waistband. Inseam: 24 inches. Hips: 19 inches, 38 inches around. Stretches comfortably to 43-ish inches. Total Length: 34 inches long.
