This beautiful artwork depicts a countryside cabin landscape c.1940's is an oil painting on canvas by noted Austrian artist ERNST F. KARGER 1902- 1968 . Signed at the lower left corner by the artist. It is in very good condition. Created with oil on canvas , It has been mounted in a gold carved wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the reverse side. ERNST F. KARGER Born at Vienna, Austria, in 1902 , Karger studied at the Industrial school of arts & later at the academy of fine arts. He chiefly turned to landscape - Paintings in which field he is highly successful. His paintings were often bought by the art - minded public at various exhibitions such as " Glaspalast " , Burggarten ", Kunstlerhaus", etc. The artist was also distinguished by being awarded the " Rosenbaum - Prize" . He travelled for studies to Italy, Germany & Switzerland. Measures: 44.5" w x 1.5" d x 34.5" h / Inches in great vintage condition with some wear / marks consistent with age.
