Description
This stylized representation of the platonic solid concept of tetrahedron is a regular convex tetrahedron with four triangular surfaces outlined by triangular silver wires. This is part of my "Romantic Solids" collection, inspired by geometry & my interest in gaming. These aren't perfect, hence the "romantic" as opposed to "platonic". This shape is commonly referred to a "4-sider" or "d4" in gaming parlance. My tetrahedron earrings are cast using a lost-wax process with soldered sterling silver jump rings & ear wires. Each tetrahedron is 5/8" ( 16.5 mm). The total length of each earring is 1 7/16" (36 mm). These earrings present a substantial appearance but the center is hollow so they are light & comfortable to wear.
