OLD BARBER SCISSORS C MON PETER MICHELS BARBER SHEARS STAINLESS ST. 5 RED DIAMOND Scissor blades are about 3 inches in length. Beautiful hammered texture on the handles of these old shears/scissors! They are clearly marked "C-MON" with an incised diamond shape & "HF" on one side, & "Peter J. Michels Inc. Brooklyn, NY USA" on the other. They've got some patina, but should clean up nicely if you prefer them to be shiny. I understand these were imported from Germany by the Peter J. Michels Co. Of course, after the war started that wasn't happening. As usual with items from the early part of the 20th Century it wasn't all about function but design as well, yes these are scissors, pretty straight forward, but look at the stippling design. No one does this anymore, just plain old function & usually not very good quality. All items are vintage & pre-owned.
