This shirt is a unique find from the early days of his career, when the skater was a part of the iconic Bones Brigade, who rode for the Powell Peralta skateboard company. Hawk's professional career began when he was only 14 years old, & during the 1980s skaters like him & his Bones Brigade peers, which included Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Tommy Guerrero, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Kevin Harris, & Alan Gelfand, were at the center of the cultural scene. Hawk dominated skateboard competitions throughout the 80s & 90s, & in 1999 he landed arguably his most famous trick, the "900" which requires a skater to land two & a half mid-air rotations. It was the last on Hawk's wishlist of dream tricks that he hoped to land, & he retired from competing not long after. Despite his retirement, Tony Hawk has continued to be a pop culture icon known not just for his skating but also his film & television cameos & successful line of video games.
