This beautiful fine art print of the Pike Place Market is full of life - produce, fish, & Seattle charm. Founded in 1907, the Pike Place Market is one of the oldest & largest continuously operating public markets in the United States! Named for its central street, Pike Place, it overlooks the beautiful Elliott Bay. It is home to more than just farmers - more than 220 independently owned shops & restaurants, 150 craftspeople, & 60 buskers . As you walk around the market, watch out for the famous "flying fish." When a customer orders a salmon, a fishmonger flings the daily catch through the air to be caught & wrapped behind the counter. All of my pieces start as drawings in my sketchbook. This original piece is hand drawn & digitally colored. It is giclee printed with pigment-based archival inks on beautiful 200 gsm archival-certified fine arts paper. The thick matte paper with subtle water color texture is durable & accentuates the original brushstrokes of the artwork. The illustration can be ordered as a 5x7, 8 x 10 or 11x14 inch print - portrait orientation & full bleed. Prints are ready to be framed or displayed as is.
