The Nature of Mother Nature Almost nothing in nature is completely round, smooth or even, so I avoid making my glass fruit & leaves too perfectly. I put on little splotches & speckles, make them a tidbit lopsided, & add other small imperfection so that each berry or leaf is unique. This makes them look much more real. Process & Materials: I hand-form each of these glass blueberry beads individually from Italian colored glass rods in the flame of a torch. I use the lampwork process to melt the glass into the basic blueberry shape using mainly heat, surface tension & gravity as my tools. Then I apply & melt in multiple coats of powdered glass in two different colors of blue.
