This product is 100% Merino Wool, used in needlepoint. Each skein contains 30 yds. of wool. This fiber is suggested to use on 18 ct. needlepoint canvas-however I have had customers who have used this on larger count canvas (16, 14, 13, ct.) & double stranded etc. with great success. These are older dye lots, that are either dramatic changes in dye lot colors, or more likely with the Planet Earth Wool, a change in both quantity of wool from 28 yards to the current 30 yds/skein, as well as the combination of fiber which with these listings is 90% Merino & 10% Nylon.
