Vira studied at the Kyiv School of Art. Her teacher was K. Trokhymenko. She then went on to enroll at the Kyiv Institute of Art, which she graduated from in 1937. Her teachers at the Institute were F. Krychevsky, P. Volokydin & K. Yeleva. Ms. Dovhalevska's work was put on display within the framework of the Exhibition of the USSR, held in 1957 in the Kyiv State's Museum of Ukrainian Art & the Kyiv Museum of Russian Art. From then on the artist began actively participating in many exhibitions & art events. in 1963 she became a member of the Kyiv department of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Ms. Dovhalevska worked in the field of easel painting. She was a true master of portraits, still-lifes & landscapes.
