Description
This is a very old & one of a kind piece that was used for many decades to scoop homemade butter out of the butter churn. It was hand carved as you can see from how it isn't exactly symmetrical. The little notch on the top back of the handle does hook onto a fence or the side of the churn, & balances the scoop perfectly. You can see that it was used a whole lot & the oil from the butter seems to have given it a beautiful patina. This is a really neat piece & you won't find one like it anywhere!
