This is a solid bronze antique replica of a gorgeous & unusual St. Gertrude the Great medal from France. It is signed by artists Karo & AP (Adolph Penin). I am blessed to have this original in my collection & be able to share with you at a reasonable price. St Gertrude the Great was a great mystic. She is the patron saint of souls in purgatory & the patron saint of cats. "Priez Pour Nous" is french for "Pray for Us". The medal measures a bit under 3/4 inch diameter & is available by itself (on a jump ring) or on a chain. For the chain option, this medal dangles on a 2x3mm cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. This fine replica piece is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax method & produced in the U.S.A. The antiquing finishing process makes this replica much prettier than the original!
