-This rarely seen Ornamental Palanquin is made of brass with openable doors. -It is the emulation of Palanquin with Arabesque Design, which is the vehicle for Princess in Edo-Meiji period 18th Century. -It comes with the amazing design for interior design inside the palanquin with a pad inside. -The history reference photo as shown, so that you can get the idea of the original function of the palanquin. -Palanquins were used as transportation during the Tokugawa period of Japanese history, which ended in 1868. High-ranking Japanese nobility sat in the fancy compartments, & as many as six bearers carried it through the streets.
