Vintage 1930s, Eastern European, miniature, bakelite, folk-art, figurine souvenir. It is unmarked so I do not know the country of origin. A guess would be Poland, if not a nearby country. It is an adorable, quality-made figurine measuring 4 inches in height. It has a round, green, bakelite base which measures 1/4 of an inch tall with a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. This folk-art, standing, dancing couple is a cut-out, paper-doll style measuring only 1/8th of an inch thick. The yellow/gold, bakelite figures are dressed in traditional costume hand-painted with delicate details in many colors. The backside is plain. The bakelite has the usual age-old patina which has darkened over time. It is a rare, very, sweet piece which is in excellent condition.
