Vintage Dresden Franz Wittwer Pink Lace Fairy Godmother with Flowers 7" Tall Figurine 7" tall x 4" wide x 3 1/2" deep A beautiful female figure, in a gorgeous pink lace gown with rows & rows of ruffles. Her bodice has a ruffled pink lace collar & is adorned with a small lavender flower. The lace tiers of her skirt are adorned with beautiful roses & flowers. The base is ornate & gilded. Her face is exquisitely detailed & her brunette hair is swept into a wrap with gilded polka dots & flowers. Her white sleeves & bodice are embellished with gilded flourishes. This piece is in excellent condition, with only two breaks in her lace which are hard to find, one below her left cuff on the back & three tiny breaks on the very bottom pink ruffle. Her long elegant fingers are in mint condition. Very rare for one of these lace figurines. No wear to the gilding. See photos. The lace used on these figures on cuffs, ruffles & skirts is actually real lace that was soaked in a porcelain slurry. When fired it the kiln, the lace burns off, leaving the porcelain that fused with it intact. Marked in blue with an F & topped with a crown. The F with crown is to identify with the company of Franz Wittwer who mainly produced in the 1950s The name "Dresden" is used after the fact that most of these lace figurines were made in Dresden, Germany Excellent Condition - Rare for such a delicate piece of this age Vintage Dresden Franz Wittwer Pink Lace Fairy Godmother With Flowers 7" Tall Figurine
