It is a sage green color that is bright & earthy. The cut is a square shape with a brilliant style cut that looks fantastic on this material. The stone glitters beautifully when moved in hand! It has great clarity with only a few minor inclusions that are hardly noticed by eye. The polish is excellent & produces fantastic light return. This material from Madagascar is lovely & resembles the classic material from the Panasqueira mine in Portugal. Apatite can be worn in jewelry, however it is not advisable for a ring stone due to the hardness being only 5 on the Mohs scale.
