This is a very attractive hand-colored postcard showcasing the old Law School in Altgeld Hall on the Illinois campus. Altgeld Hall was constructed in 1897 as the University Library & was home to the Law School from 1927-1955. Most notably, the building houses the University Chime in its bell tower. Vintage is 1930-49. It is postally unused & in excellent condition. Comes in an 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 antique-style bronze easel-back frame with 1-color mat & attached triangle hanger for wall mounting.
