Worry dolls (also called trouble dolls; in Spanish, Muñeca quitapena) are small, hand-made dolls that originate from Guatemala. According to legend, Guatemalan children tell their worries to the dolls, placing them under their pillow when they go to bed at night. By morning the dolls have gifted them with the wisdom & knowledge to eliminate their worries. When you purchase a set, your set will likely differ slightly from our photographs. Because every piece of this little treasure is handmade, no two sets are alike. The worry dolls are of different heights, & have different color fabrics, threads, & hand-painted faces. The handmade boxes are also of slightly different dimensions. We have hand-selected our offerings, so all sets are beautiful & well made. Also included is an original slip of paper from Guatamala that describes this traditional art piece. Tiny worry dolls measure anywhere from 3/4" to 1" in height. Box measures approximately 2" x 1 1/2" x 2".
