This folding lunch box is a pretty cool thing!! Opened, it measures 6.75" x 4.25" x almost 2.5" Folded it is only .25" tall. It was patented in 1871 . All the pics I've seen online date this to the 1920s. This one is in pretty good shape. It folds easily though one corner can use a little straightening. ( see pic) There is some paint loss as can be seen in pics. It is still a great piece & would be right at home in either a collection of tins or a collection of lunch boxes.
