For sale is a fun & kitschy 1950s or Fifties ceramic swan lamp & planter. This was originally a tv lamp & probably contained floral foam & artificial flowers at one point. There is no evidence at this point of floral foam, but we've seen these over the years & they usually did have some type of plastic or silk flowers or ferns in them. This planter lamp is marked Lane & Co, Van Nuys, Calif US. Lane & Company was one of the many southern California art pottery producers in the middle of the last century. So, it's fun piece of midcentury or mid century modern ceramic art that would blend well with a variety of decor styles. The dimensions are about 12" high by about 10" across by about 6" deep, & it weighs almost 3 lbs, unpacked. There is no damage to this piece, but it does show crazing & a bit of discoloration in places. See all the photos for details. We tried to highlight any imperfections. The bulb shown in the photos is a standard LED bulb (on the smaller side), which we are happy to ship with the lamp. Most bulbs fit fine into the back of the lamp, but a very large lightbulb isn't ideal, as it will be too bright on the "exposed" side. We're happy to answer any questions or send additional photos!
