Description
A nice hand built pottery box vase made by Florida studio potters Harry Welsch & Kim Wellman. They also maintain a studio in Michigan. This slab built box vase is finely crafted & includes wicker handles on each end. It is glazed with a natural white underglaze with a brown drip glaze in area including the ball feet & upper ball corners. It has good size measuring 7" tall by 7.25" wide by 4" deep. The base is signed Wellman & Welsch - 08. The condition is nice & original on this pottery box vase. The inside is clean & it will hold water. It would look great as an ikebana vase though there is no drain hole. A great piece for your Florida studio pottery collection.
