The Little Farmer felt book shows a vibrant, daily life in different settings. Taking the role of Leo - the farm's owner - children will discover animals on the farm & vegetables & fruit in the garden, along with the many activities needed to take care of the farm. Children can learn lessons, including: - The cycle of sowing, watering & harvesting - That growing takes time, patience, & perseverance - That consistency pays off Pages 1 + 2: These pages feature animals on the farm & are loved by children & parents! They show a happy cow, horse, sheep, & pig, all in the shed. Your children can feed the animals with fresh grass, as if they are in a lush green field. Pages 3 + 4: These pages feature a vegetable garden that needs to be watered, with carrots, potatoes, onions, cabbages, & pumpkins, as well as trees with detachable apples & pears. There is also a tractor that can carry the crop of the day. Pages 5 + 6: in these pages, two eggs are hidden under a chicken's wing, & it is a nice surprise to take out & play with two chicks from the eggs. The chicken's lifecycle is shown very clearly: the mother hen lays eggs, & eggs hatch into chicks. A family of ducks, including a mother duck & five little ducklings, are swimming in the pond. Singing along to the song Five Little Ducks while playing finger puppets is a great role-play or story-time activity. Every page of The Little Farmer has been carefully thought out & designed to help children learn new vocabulary about life on a farm, develop a love for storytelling, & practice spatial concepts, hand-eye coordination & fine movements.
